The second Sparks & Wiry Cries Chicago songSLAM is back! it is a unique competition for emerging composer/performer teams to premiere new art song in partnership with Fourth Coast Ensemble and mc’d by composer Jake Heggie! In the poetry-slam tradition, audience members vote on their favorite performances, and $2,000 in cash prizes is awarded.

Team registration for the second Chicago songSLAM is $20/team and is now completed full and CLOSED for the season. This event will be 100% virtual.
