Registration for Cincinnati songSLAM is now FULL! Confirmation emails and more details will be sent to the 12 qualifying teams shortly. We are delighted and inspired by your enthusiasm and cannot wait to hear the new songs!

The second Cincinnati songSLAM goes digital! Up to twelve teams will each present a single new song no longer than five minutes for voice and piano in any language. The voting audience—in the poetry slam tradition—will then vote on their favorites and award a total of $1,500 in prize money. Don’t miss this fun event that engages both performers and audience members equally and brings great new “song babies” (©Kathy Kelly) into the world!HERE

For their $20/team registration fee, ALL teams who successfully register on time will have their song recorded, premiered, shared, and have the possibility of publication! Teams who successfully register will need to pay an additional $15 fee directly to Cincinnati Song Initiative as a nominal cost-sharing measure for the professional recording session. Teams who do not successfully register in time to at least be an alternate will have their money refunded.
